There are two types of coenzyme Q10: the oxidized form (ubiquinone), which is converted into the reduced form after being taken into the body, and the reduced form (ubiquinol), which exists and works in the body from the start.
The reduced form is three to four times more easily absorbed, and the conversion rate to the reduced form is less and less effective as we age, so only a part of the oxidized form we ingest will be converted.
